& her Emotional Ceramics
Look . Feel . Create
The beauty of imperfection
Letting one’s creativity and instinct speak
Creating for the pleasure of the object, its beauty, and its unique line
A subtle exploration of the balance between lines and material.
I’m often asked, “What’s the point?” to which I reply, “Simply to be beautiful!”
Each piece, unique in its smoke firing and singular forms, tells a story and invites you to dream.
I opened my ceramics studio almost ten years ago in the Geneva countryside, La Maison de Nathalie, in Puplinge – Geneva.
It’s not just a ceramics studio ; it’s a place for exchange, sharing, exhibition, and wellbeing with clay in our hands.

Exhibiting
In such a way as to feature, to show you my work
and beyond the vision, there is Emotion !
Without Emotion,
there would be no Art
Revealing my creations gives them the opportunity to breathe.
Buying a work of art allows it to live and offers you the chance to connect with the part of yourself that is touched.
When you buy one of my pieces, you are not simply buying a work of art; you are giving an emotion.
I have been exhibiting my creations since 2002, notably in Switzerland and France, in order to bring each piece to life and make it resonate with a captivated audience.

La Maison de Nathalie
I opened my studio nearly ten years ago in the Geneva countryside, in Puplinge – Geneva.
Behind the studio’s large bay windows, you’ll discover my world.
It’s not just a studio where creativity flows freely; it’s a space with a human touch, punctuated by soft, inspiring music and the chatter and laughter of my students.
Over time, they’ve become not just students, but true friends who happily gather around clay, of course, but also over a morning coffee, sometimes accompanied by croissants. And when it’s not mornings or afternoons, it’s “Studio Happy Hour” evenings!
The wicker armchairs invite you to relax and browse one of the many books related to clay or admire the creations on display.
The studio is a bit unconventional, like the artist herself, and that’s precisely what makes it so appealing.
About Me
My Creative Approach
Clay and I have been partners for over 25 years. A self-taught artist, I quickly found my niche in round, generous forms and in the practice of polished and smoked clay. I create my pieces using various techniques, some of which are ancestral, without using the potter’s wheel, which I find produces a result that is too smooth. I appreciate the small imperfections and irregularities that complete the form, giving it its unique character. This aligns with the Wabi-Sabi spirit, or the art of imperfection.
I work exclusively with white clay for the purity of its color and the possibilities for contrast with the marks left by the fire; I also use porcelain for some of my lighting fixtures and my “Porcelain Shells.”
My tableware is crafted with a simple, pure, and timeless aesthetic, while offering practicality suited to modern times: oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe. All the glazes used are stamped for culinary use.
